Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; (May 6, 2017) HRH Princess Tsandzile, the Minister of Home Affairs, Kingdom of Swaziland has expressed the full support of her Ministry towards bringing genuine investors in the Kingdom. While speaking with Mr. Muhammad Qadeer the Special Envoy of the Principal Princess HRH Princess Sikhanyiso, she admitted there are many things to do inside the Ministry to overcome on tax matters related to the Foreigner workers in the country.
During the meeting, it was proposed by the Special Envoy of HRH Princess Sikhanyiso, to introduce the tax number to each foreigner attached to Foreigner’s Passport so that the tax, if due may be collected accordingly and timely.
It was also suggested to introduce a retirement visa within the current laws of the Kingdom of Swaziland, for foreigners who wish to spend their retirement time in beautiful and peaceful Kingdom of Swaziland which is also knows as “Switzerland of Africa” . The outlines of such visa were proposed to be similar to Malaysian “MM2H” visa in which foreigner needs to make a deposit of a certain sum of amount in Malaysian Bank and cannot withdraw it for next 5 years. And after 5 years, the deposit can be withdrawn or can be invested in real estate sector.
HRH Princess Tsandzile, the Minister showed her concerns over increasing number of specific nationality doing small scale businesses even in the rural areas of the Kingdom, which the Minister mentioned, “cannot be regarded as “investors’!”
The Special Envoy of HRH Princess Sikhanyiso thanked to the Her Royal Princess Sikhanyiso for supporting such meetings which are very necessary to face the challenges towards achieving the targets of His Majesty King Mswati III Vision 2020.
