Govt. Denies coup d’état Statement

Swaziland court of arms

The Government Spokesperson Percy Simelane has denied ever saying; ‘the African National Congress (ANC) and the European Union (EU) were planing to execute a coup d’état Statement on Swaziland’.

The government press secretary said he wished to make it clear that Swaziland had good diplomatic relationships with the both the EU and the South African government.

“This sub headline misrepresents the sentiments forwarded to the Independent News in response to questions forwarded by it to the press office”.

“It was made up independent of our responses as evidenced by its absence in the article. We therefore categorically disassociate ourselves it,” Simelane said.
