Ministry of Agriculture, Swaziland deploys over 250 tractors

As the new planting season has started, The Ministry of Agriculture, Swaziland has deployed over 250 tractors to be used by farmers countrywide. Bongani Masuku, the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture said, they have already deployed the tractors all over the country. He said besides these government tractors there were also a number of private tractors farmers could hire for ploughing.

“We welcome the late start of the rainy season, it had become rare to get good rains early in the season.”  He further added, “We expect farmers to use all methods of planting or consult extension officers in their areas’’.
