MTN Reduces Roaming Charges by 50% in SADC

MTN Swaziland

Good News; MTN Swaziland has reduced its roaming charges in all SADC countries.

Sibusiso Nhleko, MTN Head of Corporate Services revealed this and said they were also extending roaming for prepaid customers in the region and could now roam with operators such as Vodacom South Africa.

Under SADC Ministers Directive, operators were required to negotiate with roaming partners with the objective of reducing roaming rates in the region. Nhleko said it was in this process that the company began bilateral negotiations with other partners in the region to lower wholesale rates.
