Swaziland to Invest more than E19 Billion in Energy Sector

The project is in line with government’s objective of reaching 100 percent electricity access by 2022.

The Senior Energy Officer in Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy Peterson Dlamini said, “We have engaged different stakeholders from government, ministries, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), private sector and development partners,”.

He said His Majesty King Mswati III had fully shown support of this initiative.

He further added, “At the Rio +20 summit, His Majesty King Mswati III declared Swaziland’s intention to join the international sustainable energy for all initiative,” . He said, His Majesty King Mswati III had fully shown support of this initiative.
